Neogen (3M) Petrifilm Yeast & Mould Count Plates

Neogen (Formally 3M) Petrifilm Yeast & Mould Count Plates a sample-ready culture medium system which contains nutrients supplemented with antibiotics, a cold-water soluble gelling agent and an indicator that facilitates yeast and mould enumeration. Yeasts are differentiated from moulds on the plate: -

• Yeasts are typically indicated by small blue-green colonies with defined edges and foci
• Moulds are indicated by large, variably coloured with diffuse edges and centre foci
